我对于这部电影一无所知，甚至连预告也没看过。而且，我对于木乃伊的印象还停留在很多年前的电影上。因为倩雯很喜欢看这类型的电影，所以我和另一个朋友也就跟她一起去看了。

When I walked in the theater, I was expecting lots of action, essential a summer action blockbuster. However, the movie was more horror movie-ish with all the jump scare and zombies walking around. In a movie called The Mummy, I feel like there were more zombies scenes than the actual mummy. Although there were not as much mummy scenes as I would like, Sofia Boutella was awesome in this movie, just like she was awesome in the Kingsman: The Secret Service. I think the only reason I could get through the movie was because of her. She was a total badass!
This movie felt like it tried to mimic the success of the Marvel franchise by being action-packed with some humour thrown in.The action scenes in this movie was also disappointing and the only person who was a total badass was the mummy, Princess Ahmanet. The zombies in the movie looked horrible. The CGI was so horrible, maybe because Tom Cruise blew all the budget on the zero gravity sequence (this is a guess, not a fact).
首先，我对于环球影视所设想出来的黑暗宇宙非常感兴趣，也觉得这是一个很不错的想法。如果真的计划的好，它会是非常成功的。
看完电影后，我稍微对黑暗宇宙做了点调查，也知道这部电影是他们的首炮，应该也是一部用来试试水温的。
作为首炮，他们做了蛮大的挑战，就是重启多年前的经典电影。嗯，宣传效果的确会非常大，但也是很冒险的一步。在看了电影后，我更加为他们往后的重启电影感到担忧。
与其说这是一部木乃伊电影，我更认为它是一部打着木乃伊牌子的恐怖鬼片。电影里的吓人画面很多，吓人方式也很“预料之内”，恰恰就是这些让它少了很多专属于埃及的神秘感以及那种探索未知的不安。
整部电影的画面很暗很深沉，的确让人感到恐怖，但感觉不到恐惧。我被吓了一次又一次，眼睛也遮掉了无数个画面，但我只是觉得那个画面很恐怖恶心，却没有那种恐惧这一切的发生的心情。
I am a 90's kid so I grew up with Brandon Fraser's version of The Mummy, which I have to say is much more entertaining that this version. I can't help comparing the two since this movie is a reboot of the Brandon Fraser's one. I do know that Brandon Fraser's movie was also a reboot but I thoroughly enjoyed Brandon's version a lot more.
As I previously mentioned, the action was disappointing and the humour also did not hit it's mark. There were certain lines delivered by Tom Cruise that I know was an attempt to be funny, but it failed to hit its mark. However, I would commend the dead friend of Tom Cruise's character because he was actually funny. The setting of the movie was between London and somewhere in Iraq. I understand that they were trying to set up a cinematic universe so they had tried to squeeze a lot in one movie, however, I hardly saw London or Iraq and most of the movie took place underground and in Prodigium's headquarters.
When I saw how they chained the mummy, I was already shaking my head at the sheer stupidity. It's like putting Hulk in chains and keeping him drugged. There was bound to be a problem.I mean, are you that confident that your drug machine would not malfunction? Before you argue that that's the point of keeping her in chains, I would like to point out the least that they could do is chained her and put her in a cage of bullet-proof sort of glass cage, kind of like insurance but of course, just plain old chains would do.
电影场景从埃及搬到了英国，我相信这是因为他们要把重点开始移转到由Jekyll博士领军的神秘组织，并开始为他们往后的计划铺陈。我一直以来都很喜欢比较有神秘感的故事设定，比如一些神秘组织或神秘调查局之类的东西，所以真心觉得他们的这个构思是非常好的。
我个人也很喜欢Jekyll博士的设定和扮演者，还有他所掌管的神秘组织。这一切一切都仿佛在告诉我们这还不是全部，我也相信在往后的电影里，这个组织会出现的更加密集以及揭晓更多的秘密。
除去这些我喜欢的元素，电影本身就真的一点都不讨喜。故事里有很多设定都让人觉得匪夷所思，尤其是木乃伊这个主要角色，根本一点都不木乃伊，倒更像是丧尸。
再来就是故事的背景，我真的希望能够多拍点埃及的画面，太多的高楼大厦搞得一点都不埃及。人设之类的，也让我一直很疑惑。照理说，死神可以说是最无敌的，可怎么主角能够轻轻松松地将它控制住呢？不是应该它控制主角吗？
我真的看得满头雾水~~ 哈哈哈！

In conclusion, I felt that this movie is a total waste of my time and money. Although it was a crappy movie, the studio will definitely keep putting out more Dark Universe movie and I'm very sure people would still go and watch them.
我不喜欢这部电影，是真的不喜欢。如果你是一个想真正享受木乃伊电影的人的话，我建议你还是去看回多年前的那部电影吧！但，我还是真心希望环球影视能够在未来里推出更多关于黑暗宇宙的电影，这真的是很好的构思，请别将它毁了。
