"THIS IS HOW LIFE SHOULD BE" Photo Hunt 2018

On the 19th of August, Chin Yee and I were invited to join the "THIS IS HOW LIFE SHOULD BE" Photo Hunt 2018. Since we were MIA for quite awhile, I thought this would be a good motivation to post something again. Besides that, the promise of such amazing prizes had successfully tempt me.

在不久前，我们被邀请参加一个摄影寻宝的活动。这是一场由雪兰莪旅游局和森那美地产联合举办的“THIS IS HOW LIFE SHOULD BE” #Discover Selangor 的摄影寻宝比赛。

A photo hunt contest has been held annually since 2010 by Selangor Tourism to promote the hidden gems in the state. This year, they had partnered up with Sime Darby to host the event at the City of Elmina, one of Sime Darby's Property's flagship townships.

The City of Elmina is the largest township in Malaysia by Sime Darby Property and it is strategically located near many major highways. The City of Elmina spans 5000 acres and consists of four townshhips namely. Denai Alam, Bukit Subang, Elmina East and Elmina West. 虽然我们是第一次受邀参加，但其实这个大赛已经举办了很多年，这次更是第九届的比赛。雪兰莪旅游局从2010年开始就一直在举办摄影寻宝比赛，目的就事让更多人发掘雪兰莪独特且极具吸引力的景点。这个比赛从首次举办后，就获得很多摄影爱好者的关注与踊跃参与。

今年，比赛地点是在森那美地产的旗舰城镇 - Elmina之城。这个城镇占据了很好的地理位置，可以连接多条高速大道，使得出入更加方便。不仅如此，它还有着300英亩的Elmina中央公园，那里也是一个迷人的社区与绿色空间。Elmina之城的总面积达到5,000英亩，是森那美地产在马来西亚面积最大的城镇与永久房地产。它的建立与各种住宅质量的发展，都全面象征了雪兰莪生活指数的显著提升。

Anyway, let's talk about the event itself. We gathered at Elmina Pavillion at around 7.30 a.m. to register and change into the T-shirts they provided. Then, we patiently waited while other contestants arrived and registered. Each team must have at least 2 members or a maximum of 4 members. There were a few categories for the photo hunt such as professional, media, family and Instagram. Each category except Instagram had 15 questions, they must answer using photos. Instagram category would be uploaded online throughout the day with the prepared hashtags and would be judge online. Chin Yee and I were in the media category.

At the starting point, we were all given a set of questions, which we must answer using photos. After every team receive their questions, we were off! Here are the locations we went in order:

这次的摄影寻宝大赛旨在推广雪兰莪的吸引力、全新与隐藏的优美景色，并配合了本年度的国庆主题 - “爱我的马来西亚”。
所有人都可以参与这次的比赛，大会更将组别分成了4种类别，分别是专业摄影组、家庭组、媒体组以及个人Instagram组。每一组都有2-4名成员，他们将根据地图前往各个摄影景点，并以创意照片回答主办单位所设置的15道问题。

这一届的摄影寻宝大赛吸引了超过100组的参赛队伍，可见很多人都是摄影发烧友呢！

Each team were supposed to submit their photos for the photo hunt before 4.30 p.m. but most teams were late in submitting their photos. After submission, we patiently waited for the judges to judge the photos. Since there were more than 100 teams and each team (except Instagram) submitted 15 photos, it was a painfully long process.

这个比赛从上午7点30分开始，直到傍晚6点30分，而所有队伍都必须在下午4点30分提交符合问题的15张照片。评审们花了很长的时间来评分，到了晚上7点，我们都还在等待结果。

After much anticipation, the winners of each category was announced. Sadly, Chin Yee and I didn't win anything. However, we were really happy for the winners.

终于，各个组别的优胜者都选出来了，他们获得了很丰富的奖金和奖品！虽然我们没有得到任何奖项，但很高兴能够参与这样的活动，和其他人一起发掘马来西亚的魅力之处~
