The premise of the movie is that it is set in the future, when people spend most of their time in an online world. This is something that I can see happening in the future since we are already glued to our phone now. The movie has action, romance, and comedy.
这是一部我没有想要去看的电影，但倩雯有两张免费的戏票，所以就ok了。电影的背景设定在几十年后的未来，那时候的VR已经非常普遍，人人都负担得起。

First off, I want to say that I really enjoyed the movie. It was fun and had a lot of pop culture references, which were super fun to spot in the movies. Every single reference that I get, made me super excited. I'm pretty sure if I rewatch the movie, I will spot more pop culture reference.
As for the hero's backstory, I felt like it could be shorter and maybe even unnecessary. The story set the hero a stereotypical kid with no parents. He lived with his aunt, which honestly was kind of a total bitch. Then, FYI spoilers ahead... when his aunt and her boyfriend were killed off, I honestly could not care less because I was not emotionally attached to them since they are horrible people and they were killed off quite quickly. Besides that unnecessary backstory, the romance element in the movie, I would say was a bit awkward. I felt like it was too rushed but that could be just me.
故事剧情非常中规中矩，唯一的看点就是满街跑的其他电玩人物，以及对很多以往电玩或电影的致敬。我想这一点真的会吸引很多人去观看...
电影一开始就交代了那个时代的事情，包括为何全部人都带着VR满街跑，根本就不务正业的样子。随着故事发展下去，很多剧情都是预料之内，甚至可以说是毫无惊喜。比如在危机中前来的人一定是队友，来帮助你的；在紧张时刻一定可以毫无意外地脱险。
若是一定得说它的好，可能就是电玩里的关卡了，设计得真的很不错。各个环节都相连着，也带出游戏设计者的理念，玩家也需要从设计者过往的现实生活中找寻线索。
但里面很多的惊喜我并没有接到很多，因为我不是英文电影电玩派的人，所以里面的致敬和笑话我都接不到。

All in all, I really enjoyed myself. The movie showed that while it is fun to live in a virtual reality, we should also appreciate and live in reality. Instead of siding one side, it teaches that we should balance both. I also love the concept of geeks ruling the world.
总结来说，如果你是电玩派的人，这部电影可以勾起你很多回忆；如果你是想要看剧情的话，那么这不是一部适合你的电影。
