是不是觉得我们看了很多歌舞片呢？是的，歌舞片是少数我和倩雯都爱看的电影题材。
这部电影上映之前，倩雯说了一定要看。她很早就看了，而我因为工作的关系，就拖到现在才看。

The movie start off with a musical number then a flashback to PT Barnum's childhood so the audience could relate his desire to be respected. As I have mentioned, I already knew all the songs when I watched the movie. I already love the songs by themselves but when I saw the movie, I love the songs even more. The way they execute each musical number were fantastic, the dance were awesome and it makes you wants to join them. I have to really praise the choreography for this movie because it was flawless. And have I mentioned how awesome Hugh Jackman was? I absolutely love him as the showman. No offense, Zac. Although Zac replaced him at the end of the movie, he doesn't quite fill in Hugh's shoes. Well, they were freaking huge shoes so Zac can be forgiven. Of course, all the cast member were great as well.
The plot was also quite inspiring about how a man from nothing became a somebody. Yes, he did lose his way a little but that itself is real because when you become rich and famous, sometimes people lose themselves. However, he ultimately found his way back. The movie also deals with couple of different race with the relationship between Philip Carlyle and Anne Wheeler. It also shows that it is perfectly okay to be who you are and about dreams coming true.
I know that some critics have been complaining that they make PT Barnum seem good when historically, he was known as a conman and exploiting oddities. He makes money off people making fun of the oddities. However, I feel like like he was a product of his time so we as audience with modern morals can't expect him to be the same as us. I will argue that he wasn't without flaw just like humans have flaws. You can see he's not completely good when he said if people were going to laugh at you, you might as well make some money off it. So I would argue that the movie did not completely make him into some saint. At least, he gave these oddities a way to live. Plus might I add, this is a musical not a documentary and Hollywood has always change things to suit movies.
这部电影的开头就让我很惊艳了，尤其是众人一起打拍子的那一段。我看歌舞片的时候，最喜欢最想要看到的一幕就是主角和其他陌生人一起唱歌跳舞，唱完跳完后，大家又各自散开。
每次看歌舞片，最期待的就是歌曲了。这部电影里的歌曲都很好听，歌词也写得很贴切，有几首歌还能让人立刻朗朗上口。歌曲好听之余，舞蹈也让我看得很享受。
我很喜欢他们的编舞，每个人都配合得当，也都跳得很流畅。尤其是主角在酒吧拉拢合伙人的那一幕，更是让我看得很过瘾。他们与酒保的配合非常好，拍子一拍一拍的打下去，三人更随之起舞，互相交换位置，看似复杂，却一点都不凌乱。
再来，我喜欢的就是拍摄手法和镜头了。我之前也有说过，我不太喜欢太多特写的镜头，比较喜欢看全面的画面，而这部电影就很对我的胃口了。
导演对镜头的运用让我很喜欢，它没有太多的特写，而且跳舞部分都拍得很流畅。多人的歌舞难免会显得有点凌乱，如果拍摄的不够好，就会让观众看得眼花缭乱，不知道该看哪里。但是导演的镜头都能拍到你想看的地方，也用镜头把我们带领到电影里的世界，好像我们也随着主角一起跳舞。
我不太会形容那种感觉，反正这部电影的歌舞部分是我看过的电影以来最舒服的。
Now let's talk about some of the things I wish were in the movie but was not. I love Hugh Jackman's character but I wish we could have spent some more time with the other interesting characters like Anne Wheeler, Philip Carlyle and Lettie. I wish the movie would explore the relationship between Anne Wheeler and Philip Carlyle instead we only got 1 song, albeit an awesome song and a few scenes. The issue of interracial couple was not really explored because of the lack of scenes but I do understand they had time constraint so they can't go on and on. However I think maybe we can switch out some of Michelle William's scenes with Philip and Anne. As for Lettie, she's just interesting as heck and I wish she was in more scenes. Lastly, I would also love more songs because the soundtrack was awesome. However I know that's not a flaw just me being greedy for great songs.
各花入各眼，我对这部电影的不满意之处还是有的。
虽说歌曲都很动听、演员们唱得很棒，但是我还是觉得电影里面的歌曲都太现代了。故事背景是设在19世纪的美国，不过歌曲的旋律一直让我联想不了那个时代。如果闭上眼睛听着歌曲，然后想象画面，我绝对不会想到19世纪的场景，反而会是很多现代的画面。这一点就让我偶尔会出戏···
电影是由真人真事改编的，并且拍完主角的一生。关于这点，我就觉得电影的故事不够细节，很多东西都匆匆带过。很多时候，我还没完全感受到主角们的情绪，就被带开了。
然后，有几幕的无声画面也让我有点费解。我还以为会有什么重大事情发生，结果却是什么都没有。
另外，我总觉得他们的情绪不够强烈。我就好像看着这个人的一生，但没感受他的所有。我知道主角在难过在生气在懊恼，可我就没为他担心，反而很平静的看完。可能有太多东西需要拍吧，好像忽略了这些微小的情绪。

I would like to end my review by urging those who have not watch the movie to go and watch it NOW! It's a heartwarming musical that makes you happy as you leave the cinema with the belief that dreams do come true. The movie also bring us messages that we are perfect as we are and that we should always remember where we came from.
I do have to warn you that you might be playing the soundtrack on repeat after you watch the movie though.
电影想要带出的信息让我觉得很受用，除了勇于挑战，最重要的就是莫忘初衷。不论做什么，永远都不要忘了你是为了什么而做。还有就是主角在逆境中找出路的做法，就算被人给了恶评，还是能够利用它来得到瞩目。
这些都是值得拿来思考的···
总结来说，这是一部能让你很享受的电影。动人的歌曲、华丽的舞蹈，它带给你最佳的视觉听觉的盛宴。打斗片看腻的话，就来看这部电影吧~电影就快下映了，还没看的你们，赶快去看！
