Too Late To Love Short Film Fans Meet + Screening 《来不及的爱》媒体粉丝见面会

We got invited to go to 'Too Late To Love' short film fans meet and screening at Freeport A'Famosa Outlet. You might not know this but my Chinese movie exposure is quite limited. When we got invited for this event, I did not know the director, actors or the special guest attending this shindig.

今天，我和倩雯被受邀来到《来不及的爱》媒体粉丝见面会。这是一部由马来西亚导演所执导的微电影。
这部微电影也在美国加州荣获两座奖项。

At around half past three, the director, writer, actor and special guest arrived. The interview session began immediately, which I was really grateful for. The director of this short film is Mr Kelvin Tan, a Malaysian living in Taiwan and had worked with Hong Kong stars like Jackie Chan, Stanley Tong and others. His works included I'm Not Stupid 2, Model A La Mode and many more.

The director said that it took them 5 days to shoot the film and 2 months in production before getting the final product. During the interview, the director and actor said the most funny thing that happened while shooting the film was when the public called the police when they were filming the fighting scene. The people actually thought they were fighting for real.

The director also said that filming the scene at the grave was quite difficult for him since it was raining in Taiwan. He was impressed with the chemistry between Mr Vic and the actress playing his mother.  The main reason the director made this film is to send a message to the younger generation about the importance of spending time with your family. He said that youngsters tend to spend a lot of time for themselves and took their family for granted. This film was a wake up call for the younger generations.

导演陈伟豪、男主角张祖诚以及编剧林贞贞都在现场分享了这部微电影的从构思到微电影正式上架后的心得。
他们之所以会有这个构思是因为时下的年轻人大多都把时间留给了自己和自己想要的生活，并忽略了一直默默付出的父母。他们想借此影片警惕人人，爱要及时。

整部微电影都是在台湾取景，幕后的人员也都是台湾人。虽然主要拍摄只花了5、6天，但后期制作和配乐就花了近两个月才完成。

导演觉得在母亲墓前的那一幕比较挑战，因为在台湾的那一天一直在下着绵绵细雨，导致原本只要两个小时的拍摄被拉长了多三倍的时间。而他也称赞男主角还有母亲的演技非常好，剧组都被他们在医院的那场戏的演技感动而在片场留下了泪水。

对于第一次正式演戏的张祖诚来说，这是一个很大的挑战。但他也很努力的做功课，除了背剧本，他还请教了马来西亚的视帝，希望能够提升自己的演技。然而，他被告知其实根本不需要去演，只要做好了准备，到了现场，就自然而然的被那里的氛围感染，而做了最自然的演出。打架的场面也让他印象很深刻，因为他们还引来了当地的警察前来关心。

除了演戏，他也为微电影配上了动人的音乐，甚至演唱主题曲--《时间，请你走慢一些》。我们都知道时间不会为任何人停下或放慢，但当我们遇到某些事时，我们都会希望它能够走得慢一点，让我们有多一点的时间。

After the interview, there were performances by the special guest, Mr Lockon Lee and  Mr Vic Teo. Mr Lockon Lee sang：

他们邀请了台湾的创作歌手李冠群担任特别嘉宾，而他之后也会在另一个作品里和张祖诚合作。他在现场演唱了自己创作的歌曲 -- 《记得你》。

Then, Mr Lockon Lee and Mr Vic Teo sang a duet. We snapped a few photos but did not take a video of their performance. This performance was special because it was a collaboration of Taiwan and Malaysia. There was actually a Malaysia and Taiwan version of this song sang by local artist from the respective countries. 之后，主持人邀请了张祖诚一起上台和李冠群合唱另一首张祖诚创作的公益歌曲 -- 《给它一个家》。这是一首为了唤起大家对动物关爱的歌曲，他邀请了多位歌手一起为歌曲献声。
这首歌曲有两个版本，第一个是台湾歌手演唱的，而另一个是由马来西亚艺人演唱的版本。

Lastly, Mr Vic Teo ended the performance by singing the short film theme song, which he composed and Edge of Glory by Lady Gaga. Sorry again for not having any of the performance on video.

过后，张祖诚就独唱了微电影的主题曲 -- 《时间，请你慢一些》。唱完之后，他觉得之前所唱的歌曲都太伤感了，所以就加码唱了Lady Gaga的快歌。

After that, we were ushered to a hall and finally watched the short film. This short film was essentially about a boy, Jianwei ( Vic Teo) who was brought up by his single mother. Jianwei was rebellious and did not appreciate his mother's sacrifice. When Jianwei's mother was diagnosed with cancer, Jianwei realised how horrible he was and repented. Jianwei changed and became a obedient and filial son. Although he had change, the time he managed to spend with his mother was short.

专访过后，我们就转移场地去到主办单位准备的视听室观看这部微电影。

这是一部讲述亲情以及孝道的微电影。故事主要是说处在叛逆期的男主角对于母亲的种种关心爱护感到厌烦，而对母亲口出恶言，也没有理会母亲的病痛。直到母亲进了医院，他才开始振作，可也太迟了…
