Jumanji (1995) @ Movie 野蛮游戏 1995

Before we get to see the new Jumanji movie, we decided to revisit our childhood version of Jumanji. Honestly, I don't think anything can top Robin William's Jumanji. The trailer of the new Jumanji shows that it is not a reboot and instead of a board game, it's now a video game. The trailer seems promising but I kind of wished they just did their own movie without using the Jumanji name because it is not a reboot nor is it a continuation of the old movie. They could have just made a new movie and it would have been fine, but by using the Jumanji name, they kind of set themselves up for comparison with the old version. Anyway, I'm not gonna judge the movie before it's out.

如果要我列出童年里最喜欢的电影，这部一定在前几名里。就算到了20年后的今天，我还是对它印象非常深刻。这部电影的剧情超乎了我的想象，让幼小的我很惊叹当中的剧情发展。如今，野蛮游戏以另一种方式重回世上了。
这次的电影是否还能给我同样的感动呢？在新电影上映之前，就让我们来回温一下1995年的野蛮游戏吧~

The 1995 Jumanji is still fun to watch even if the CGI is not great,  but this was in 1995 so it's forgivable. The film is apparently and adaptation of a novel of the same title, which I have never read. This movie is a classic, at least for me. I watched it during my childhood and the first thing I think of when you say Robin Williams. Well... that and Aladdin's Genie.

First off, I would like to begin by saying that I love this movie. The movie is action-packed and fun to watch. I still remember being watching this movie when I was a kid. I was amazed, terrified and excited throughout the movie. The movie is essentially about people playing a magical board game. The board game make strange things happen to the player's surrounding or the player themselves. Whenever a player throw the dice, a hint of what will happen appear on the crystal ball in the middle of the board game.

The movie shows that the board game has been around for a long time. Although people would get rid of it, it would always find its new owners/players. The players go through an adventure that is both exciting and terrifying. It even sucked one of the player into the board game, trapping him in the game for years! It also brought out venomous spiders, stampede, bats, monkeys and even a murderous hunter.

棋盘游戏是直到今天都很受欢迎的一种游戏，我们可以在五花八门的棋盘上有着各种不同的游戏规则，透过完成游戏来取胜。

野蛮游戏主要讲述一个小男孩捡到了一个没见过的棋盘游戏，在好奇心的驱使下，他找了另一个女生朋友来一起玩。他们走的每一步都会有一段诗/一句话，而这些话语都会现实化，里面所说的事情都会在现实中发生。两个小孩都吓坏了，当男孩被吸进了游戏里时，女孩更是吓得跑开了。男孩就这样被留在了游戏里。

时间过去了十多年，有一对姐弟发现了这个游戏，他们也玩了，更意外的放出了困在游戏里长大的男孩。他们找了当年的女孩一起完成游戏，期间也一起经历了很多事情。当完成游戏后，他们回到了原点，即是十多年的开始玩游戏的那个时候。

电影情节里有很多东西是超乎我们想象的，满天飞的蝙蝠、跑到街道上的动物、甚至是室内的流沙，这些出现的东西都是深林里会遇到的事物，但野蛮游戏却把这些带到了现代城镇里。

每丢一次骰子，每读出一段话，都会引发意想不到的事情。只有走到了终点，所有发生过的事情才会消失无踪。

玩家必须在一边闪躲一边继续游戏的情况下，一直把游戏玩完。这不是很像现实社会吗？我们每走一步都会有好有坏的影响，而且还得一边走一边抵抗外来的威胁，走完全程的人才是赢家。

除了游戏吸引人之外，电影里的人物设定都很棒。每个人物都有自己的特点，而且谁也不会抢了谁的风头。搞笑的成分也很恰当，是那种一闪即过的搞笑，不会纠结在那个搞笑剧情上太久。有的电影一直绕着搞笑来转，反而弄巧成拙，让人笑不出来。

All in all,  this is a great movie and a timeless classic.  To me,  it brings back my nostalgic memories of my childhood.  If you have not watched this movie, you should definitely go back and watch it before watching the new reboot/ continuation of Jumanji.

不管你是多少岁，只要是没看过这一部野蛮游戏的，都非常推荐你去看看。或许你觉得电影里面的特效不好看很明显，但它的剧情绝对比得上近期的电影，甚至好看过它们很多倍！

直到如今，它仍然是难以超越的经典…
