Magical Musicals @ KLPAC 音乐会

Chin Yee and I recently went to Magical Musical st KLPAC. We were invited as bloggers to their dress rehearsal.  It was my first time there. When we arrived,  the place looked kind of spooky...what with it's lack of light and freaky looking buildings.  Honestly,  it would be a perfect place to film a horror movie.

就在几天前，我和倩雯被邀请去观赏一场由KLPAC主办的音乐会。
如同异国电影，我一直也都很想看舞台剧或音乐会之类的现场表演。但，门票价格一直让我却步。

When we got there,  there wasn't a crowd.  In fact,  there was plenty of seats left but we were told that the next three shows are sold out. I was super excited because I love musicals and the programme book listed some of the songs I knew and loved.

由于正式表演是在星期五，所以那天去到现场的人不是很多，但有个好处就是可以用较便宜的价格入场，而且也不怕人多。
后来，我们听说之后的三场都已经售罄了。这是很值得高兴的事，因为现在的科技让很多东西越来越容易得手，所以很少人愿意掏钱来支持艺术了。

There were some performance that I find a bit lacking.  The best way I can describe why is because the performance lack a certain impact, which I can't really explain.

However, I absolutely enjoyed most of the performance. The orchestra was good. Besides that,  they also had three singers perform some of the songs.  The singers were good,  but I had chills (good ones)  when Tria Aziz sang.  She was my favourite singer among the three.

The conductor was really cute because you can tell he really enjoys his job.  When he conduct,  he moved his body like he was dancing.  He did a good job,  but he mumbled a lot when he was explaining about the different performances and he refers to his notes too much,  sometimes even fumbling his notes.

节目表上的歌曲都是些耳熟能详的歌曲，大多来自于电影。不过，我看的电影不够多，所以只知道其中为数不多的曲目。
如果你恰好看过这些电影或喜爱这些电影，那么你肯定会非常享受！

除了乐器演奏之外，他们也有三位风格各异的声乐家唱出其中几首歌曲，而且还有男女合唱。在众多歌曲当中，我最喜欢的是“Chicago”这一篇的曲目。那是因为我个人很喜欢爵士乐，非常享受当中的气氛。

每首歌曲都非常动听，我不敢说完美，但我相信他们都为这场表演尽心尽力。光是这一点，就已经值得买票进场。
如果要说有什么美中不足的话，或许就是指挥家的解说吧。他的英文并不是那么流利，而且我相信也有很多资料需要去记住，所以在解说时就有点吞吞吐吐的。
我觉得这一点可以再加强或是干脆提前录音。

从这场音乐会里，我非常强烈的感觉到音乐真的是无国界的，甚至是无分对象的。
有很多演奏家并不符合我心目中的那种样子，我承认我看人是很挑剔的，但他们很投入并卖力地演奏。从那看来，他们都是的的确确是喜爱音乐的一份子。

Lastly,  there was a projection screen behind the orchestra but the lighting makes it very difficult to see anything.

整体来说，我非常享受这场表演。只可惜在剧场里不能吃喝，要不然，我手上会有一杯红酒了。
